Knowledge is power; skill transforms it into excellence. When doctors bring these attributes together and pen down their experiences, something beautiful emerges-Scrubs to Scribes. Founded in 1968, the Bangalore Society of Obstetrics & Gynaecology (BSOG) has grown into a vibrant body of over 1,200 practitioners across the city. Being a writer and an obstetrician-gynaecologist, I know how our busy professional lives leave us strapped for time-often wishing for a few hours more to spend on writing. Yet, writing has never competed with my profession; instead, each has nourished the other. By revisiting moments of triumph and trauma through words, I rediscovered lessons, relived joys, and healed from setbacks. Writing has made me a better doctor, and more importantly, a better human being. One morning, I had a brainwave: why not invite my colleagues to experience this joy too? The response was overwhelming-fifty articles in two weeks, seventy within a fortnight. And so, this anthology was born: the first of its kind in India. Here, the obstetricians and gynaecologists of Bangalore proudly present their varied experiences our days and nights, our triumphs, travails, and tears. This collection offers readers a rare glimpse into the heart of our profession, where science meets humanity, and every story is a testament to resilience and care.
